This is the first grimoire I’ve produced — in both ancient and modern terms — devoted solely to Mot (Mawet), the Canaanite lord of death. Mot predates mentions of figures later called Satan or Lucifer; he is a progenitor to spirits like Samael and Abaddon and the originating avatar behind the underworld paradigm that shaped later mythic imaginations. In these pages I trace how Mot’s vision informed concepts such as **Sha'are Zalmawet** and **Tsalmaweth** — the burning gates and the shadows of death — and I map his role as destroyer across worlds, planes, and gods.
The Canaanite tradition names Mot the force behind universal dissolution: adversary and slayer of Baal, devourer of gods, and sovereign of extinction. In this volume I lay out the keys I use to approach that primeval current — a work on the left-hand path that is intentionally obscure, uncompromising, and practical.
